The Boulder Paragliding Club (BoPaC) is a formally registered Colorado nonprofit organization dedicated to the joy of personal flight via paragliding.  We are also a formally affiliated as chapter 180 of the United States Hang Gliding & Paragliding Association (USHPA), the national self-regulating body for paragliding and hang gliding in the United States.

Our name says "Boulder", yet our membership and flying activities extend throughout the Denver-Boulder metropolitan area and beyond.  Most people refer to us in our abbreviated form as "BoPaC", pronounced like "snowpack".  We are run exclusively for and by individual Paragliders and are independent of commercial interests.

North Boulder - Foothills Community Park / Locust Street (North of Wonderland Lake) is BoPaC's home flight site.  Depending on weather conditions, time of the day, etc., this site can be a training hill,  or a challenging and fantastic technical ridge & thermal soaring, and a XC start point flying site.  Pilots often times have flown XC into Lyons and beyond. Soaring altitudes have reached 13000 ft. msl. (approx. 7000 ft AGL)  (READ MORE)

If you are a Denver metro area paraglider, or just curious about getting into paragliding, or knowing fascinating details about paragliding flying in North Boulder,  please consider dropping by one of our informal monthly meetings (see Meetings page)  to say hello and get your questions answered, or contact any of our members (see Members page) for information or to get useful advice. If you are currently unaffiliated in this area, we hope you'll consider joining this useful and informal social network (see Club Info page) to increase your enjoyment, growth and safety in this wonderful sport.
